wedding type pictures continued...

Days 1 and 2: Spent in Washington DC. Attended the DC 3rd ward (great people there!), wandered around, and visited the monuments, Arlington cemetary, and Iwo Jima memorial. Then we went back to Ashburn for our lovely reception at the Smith home. The food was excellent (thanks Mom! And Costco.), lots of friends came, and much fun was had by all.

Arlington cemetery, JFK's grave, changing of the guards, etc. Beau's main goal was to catch up to the Russian tour guides ahead of us.

FDR memorial, my favorite. But I say that about a lot of them.

Our tribute.

Days 3 and 4: You can't visit VA without going into horse country (especially when you're married to me), so we stayed at a B&B in Middleburg. We perused my favorite tack stores, window shopped at stores where we will never afford to shop, and tasted some homemade marshmallows and cookies at the Upper Crust Bakery.

Briar Patch Inn. Cute, huh?

Us at Red Gate Farm (where I work) on Prince and Hershey. Beau tried posting for the first time!

Days 5 and 6: Back to DC. Holocaust Museum, the Smithsonians, and dinner at the Melting Pot.

Our New Year's dinner- Chinese takeout. :)

Beau loves the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Really, he does. He dressed up as one of them for Halloween several times, and he (now we, I guess) have all the movies .

Vintage kitchen display at American History. I want it.

Beau was really excited to see the dinosaurs.

Melting Pot mmmm good. These smiles look fake- but we're happy, I promise! When we were trying to park, we were shown an empty space by a new friend, Homeless Carl. He even gave us marital advice.

The End.

  1. Funny, I feel like some of your pics from D.C. are identical to our honeymoon pictures.

Except my husband didn't take me to the Melting Pot.
